Choose supported libraries and an engine

Add compatible libraries and check the engine your game uses.

On this page

Add a library

  1. Open the project in Code mode.
  2. Choose Libraries.
  3. Search the available list and read each library’s compatibility information.
  4. Choose Add for a suitable entry.
  5. Check that it appears as In use and is recorded in llvls.json.
  6. Add the corresponding import and usage in your game code.
  7. Run the game and save after testing.

Libraries are pinned to supported versions. Adding a library declaration does not write the gameplay code that uses it.

Check or change the engine

  1. Save a checkpoint before changing the engine.
  2. Open Project settings > SDK version.
  3. Review Engine, its version, the SDK version and Starts from.
  4. Use only an available supported engine and version.
  5. Adapt the game code if you change engines, then run and check every reported problem.

Code written for one engine does not automatically work with another. Do not treat an engine switch as a visual theme change.

If a library is refused

Check engine compatibility and any security warning. If llvls.json cannot be read, fix it in Code before adding a library. Use See libraries from a build problem when offered to find supported alternatives.
