Make your first game
Create a working starter and make your first saved change.
What you need
A creator account with Studio access. Prompt mode also needs assistant access.
Steps
- Open Your games and choose New game.
- Pick a starter: Platformer, Puzzle, Arcade shooter, Endless runner, Physics toy, Card or board, Idle or clicker, or Story or text.
- Choose Keyboard, Touch or Both for the controls.
- Choose Landscape, Portrait or Square for the frame.
- Choose Pixel art or Smooth vector for the starter’s look.
- Choose Make my starter. Play its preview when available.
- Give the game a name and use Change beside a choice if you want to revise it.
- Choose Open in code mode, or Open in prompt mode when available.
- Make one small change, such as a colour or movement speed, and choose Run.
- Play the result, then choose Save and add a short note.
Start without a template
Choose Start from a blank project in the wizard if you want to build the game yourself. It still needs game code and platform integration before it can become a playable release.
What happens next
The new project appears in Projects. A project is private working material until you submit a release and it becomes live.
Starter choices are not permanent restrictions. Changing a control or engine later may require corresponding code changes.
