Withdraw a release that is still in review
Remove a pending release from the review queue before it goes live.
Before you start
This action is for a release still in review. It is not the same as withdrawing an already live game or deleting a project.
Steps
- Open the game and choose Releases.
- Open the release marked In review.
- Choose Withdraw release for that release number.
- Read the confirmation explaining that it will leave the queue and not go live.
- Confirm the withdrawal, or choose Keep it in review to cancel.
- Check the updated release status.
What happens next
A withdrawn review submission will not go live and does not count against release limits. You can continue editing and publish a replacement, subject to the normal publishing checks and limits.
If it cannot be withdrawn
A reviewer may have decided the release before your withdrawal reached the service. Read the refreshed state instead of assuming it was cancelled.
If the daily withdrawal limit is reached, the page says when withdrawals resume. The current release stays in review.
